VENUS ♀

Huge huge warning: I'm so in love with this man and I have too many thoughts about him so this page is gonna be INCREDIBLY and surprisingly long.

Design

I can't really explain the thought process behind his clothes, it's just- man ... For the hair, he just seems like someone that'd have long hair and I sort of got inspired by Simon Blackquill's hair from Ace Attorney. His hair is super messy and disheveled because he doesn't really care about taking care of it. He has a lot of body hair everywhere and also beautiful long lashes.

You could argue that my design for Venus before his transition is just present!venus but genderbent and yeah you're not really wrong lol.

Wanting Life

(Didn't really know how to label this section but it's basically all about Venus really wanting life and in addition why I headcanon him as trans because it has something to do with this.)

Venus during his proto days really wanted to have life. He is very insecure about this and for a long time thought that his worth was connected to the fact if he was habitable or not. Earth's beahviour before and during his arc definitely did not help with this. Even after coping and getting over this insecurity, Venus sometimes still has that want inside of him, as shown in the 'What if planets were ordered by size' episode; He finally got the opportunity to be in the goldilock zone and hesitated to side with his friends so he can finally make his dreams come true, so he never actually gave up on his dream and would still consider it if he had the right conditions.

The oversimplified way I explained this headcanon to my friend was: Imagine Venus as a married woman that really wanted children for a long time. He kept trying and trying but kept having miscarriages/wasn't able to get pregnant, then finds out he's completely infertile. His dream falls apart and so does his marriage, and now he's a broken divorced man.

Don't ask- You either see the vision or you don't.

Ships

I ship vars (Venus x Mars) and I won't go that in depth here (go to Mars's page for that).

Mars understands Venus's frustrations related to wanting life on a personal level. He's never been so serious about wanting life himself, but he's also had to deal with losing a majority of his water and becoming pretty much inhabitable too.

I absolutely hate Venus x Earth, in my head it's just toxic yaoi if they're together. This is mostly because of how Earth treated Venus before and in the beginning of his arc, and even though he changed for the better after it, I can't see their relationship as anything other than platonic.

Don't get me started on Venus x Mercury. Again it'd be toxic if they were in any sort of relationship other than platonic. I know their banter sort of turned into a teasing/joking thing, but I also don't see their relationship being able to turn into anything other than friends.

Misc.

That fan-animation of venus with the smoke weed everyday song has been ingraned in my head and I'll be honest yeah he probably would. Other than weed he probably smokes a lot. At first it was sort of a funny haha because his voice is so low and it sounds like he smokes 40 packs a day, but then Venus fixation and BAM! He smokes to cope with the aforementioned things. (Extra: him and Mars are smoking buddies.)

(That short where Venus was given his water back for a second and he smiled made me cry for days you don't understand.......)
